Accounts Payable Accountant - HEMPHILL EXCLUSIVE

Our client, an exceptionally well-run, pillar of the Omaha community is searching for a detailed professional to join their accounting department in this very important position.  Join a team of other professionals who take their jobs seriously, but genuinely enjoy working together as well.  This is a key role - you will “be the accounts payable department” for this mid-sized company and also assist with other key accounting activities.

 

• Feel the pride of taking full ownership of accounts payable for this mid-sized company, and ensure that AP is in excellent shape - you will open mail, code invoices to the GL, handle AP journal entries, trouble shoot problem invoices and be the main point of contact with vendors for AP inquiries
• Back up the Controller’s accounting team with month-end activities, and own a group of account reconciliations
• Work with the Controller on projects that will help automate processes - we are looking for someone who is a strong Excel user who enjoys leveraging technology
